The History Society is hosting a Black History month Zoom conversation between Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu and a University of Exeter academic. Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu has featured on countless TV news broadcasts, radio shows and newspapers, whilst also founding the 'Women in Leadership' publication. Alongside these appearances, she has many academic honours to her name, including a PhD and MA. Here is her website here. She also manages to find time to run a popular Twitter account linked here.

This talk will cover Black History Month in general, as well as American civil rights, marginalised women and the role of university education in representing Black history. At the end of the conversation there will be time for Shola to answer any questions you may have (which can be submitted to a Google form beforehand). History Society members will be able to join the Zoom call and ask questions directly if they so wish!
