Come along to this event and meet your Vice President, Lottie Reynolds, and some of your peers! During this session, you will have the opportunity to grab a beverage and potentially a baked good from the cafe using one of the food vouchers available. These vouchers are first come, first serve and are limited to 15 students. Whilst having a lovely drink, you can use the time to create your own mini scrap book using many materials!

This is a great chance for you to connect to not only your campus but also your future community.

Where is the event taking place?

The event is taking place in Fox Cafe at Falmouth Campus.

This is in the centre of the campus and is best accessed by walking along Foxs Lane, from Falmouth Town train station, then turning right on Melvill Road and after 65yards you then turn right onto Falmouth Campus. Once on the campus walk towards the Fox building and walk through until you can see the cafe area. Alternatively if you are catching the bus to The Moor, walk to the bottom of Killigrew Street towards the Superdrug then turn right onto Market Street. From there walk through town until you turn right and reach Avenue Road, then walk up the hill to the train station and walk along Foxs Lane, then turning right on Melvill Road and after 65yards you then turn right onto Falmouth Campus. Once on the campus walk towards the Fox building and walk through until you can see the cafe area.

Safe Sex and Sexual Health Pop Up with The Eddystone Trust (23/09/2026, 13:00)

The Eddystone Trust will be on Social Street from 1pm–4pm. They will talk about safe sex, sexual health, and what support they offer. They will also give out free sexual health supplies. The event is run by Matthew from The Eddystone Trust. You can find more information about the charity by visiting their website.

Testing and private advice:

Sexual health testing and private advice will be provided by The Eddystone Trust and will be available in The SU.
You can ask about this on the day, or book in advance by emailing karrah.bridgestodd@eddystone.org.uk.

What to expect:

This is a relaxed drop-in event. You can arrive anytime between 1pm and 4pm.
You can drop by and chat to Matthew and for as long as you like and leave at any time.
You can chat, ask questions, or just listen.
Social Street may be busy and sometimes noisy, with people moving around.
A quiet, private room is available in The SU if you need it where we also have sensory bags to borrow.

Hello Cornwall: Welcome International Students! (22/09/2026, 13:00)

New to Cornwall? Come and meet fellow international students and have a pasty on us at our chilled Welcome week meetup.

On Friday afternoon, the SU are hosting a friendly, welcoming space for international students share experiences, ask questions, and get to know Cornwall. You can add a pin for your home country to our international student map, and tuck into a traditional Cornish pasty as a delicious introduction to the campus and county.

With different pasty options for different dietary requirements and a designated quiet space, everyone can join in and get to know more about your new home!

What is the key accessibility information?

Step-free access: the event is taking place at The SU, Penryn Campus. There is step-free access to the building via the front entrance opposite The Stannary. There is a disabled toilet in the same part of the building next to The SU space.
Layout: the layout is open plan, with seating available as well as standing room.
Allergies: allergy information will be listed for all the pasties available, and risks around cross-contamination have been assessed. If you have serious food allergies and have questions or concerns, please make yourself known to SU staff (they will all be wearing black and yellow lanyards) at the event so they can support your safe participation.
Noise: the event atmosphere will be relaxed, with light noise from students chatting. Staff will make sure the space does not become too crowded, and there is a quiet space available in Side Room 2 if you want to take a break from the event. You are also free to take one of the SU's sensory bags, which contain items such as fidgets and ear defenders to help you feel comfortable in our space. If you feel overwhelmed or distressed, please speak to a member of SU staff and they can signpost you to a quiet space or additional support.

The event is taking place at The SU at Penryn Campus. This is in the centre of the campus oppostie the Masters Suite and to the side of the Stannary. From the bus stop walk passed the Campus Shop and towards the Stannary. Follow the large footpath arounf the frint of the Stannary and up the hill. You will see our wonderful SU Mural ahead of you. From here you can go left to take the ramp up to the doors or right and up the stairs. Once inside the building we are the room on the right. Phew! You made it!
