Award-winning Guyanese-American writer, Gaiutra Bahadur will draw from her book, Coolie Woman: The Odyssey of Indenture, a 'radical history of empire told from the perspective of indentured women' working in the sugar plantations. She will speak about strategies for transcending the biases and silences in the archive.
