The SU Gig Rowing society provides social and competitive rowing for all of our members, allowing them to take part in what is a fun, physically demanding, and traditional Cornish sport!

Welcome to the SU Pilot Gig Club, otherwise known as SU Gig Rowing!

We are a friendly group of students from Falmouth University and the University of Exeter using the club and facilities of Flushing and Mylor Pilot Gig Club, based in Flushing. All abilities are encouraged to try out this fantastic traditional Cornish sport and join in with our regular social events.

There's also an opportunity to row in the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly in Spring each year. Please check out our Instagram page or our Facebook page for more information.

In addition, there is a great chance you'll see a range of wildlife when rowing, such as seabirds and dolphins!

On-water rowing sessions: Wednesdays 2pm-5pm, Saturdays 10am-1pm (Flushing & Mylor Pilot Gig Club boat house)

Indoor erg (rowing machine) training sessions: Thursdays 8am-9am (Penryn Campus Sports Centre)

Additional rows are available almost every day with the Flushing & Mylor Pilot Gig Club for a variety of skills and categories, which are all included in your membership!

All sessions are subject to time changes +-30mins/1hour depending on tides, weather and availability.
