Standing Firm in Power and Pride

This October, Black History Month 2025 celebrates the theme "Standing Firm in Power and Pride." It's about recognising the leaders, activists, and pioneers who've shaped our world while looking toward a future of continued empowerment and growth. The theme highlights two core values: power as the influence and capacity to create positive change, and pride as the celebration of cultural identity, heritage, and Black excellence. From the visionaries who led civil rights movements to today's trailblazers breaking barriers across every industry, this theme honors the resilience and brilliance that defines Black communities globally.
